Dairy pipe screw rings
Dairy pipe screw rings are essential sealing elements in hygienically sensitive pipework systems in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. They ensure a secure and detachable connection between pipe components in accordance with the DIN 11851 standard.
Dairy pipe screw rings are manufactured from various elastomers to fulfil different requirements:
- NBR (nitrile rubber): Good resistance to oils and greases.
- EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber): Excellent resistance to hot water and steam.
- FPM/FKM (fluororubber): High chemical resistance and temperature resistance.
- MVQ (silicone): Suitable for extreme temperatures and sensitive media.
Many of these materials are FDA-compliant and conform to EC 1935/2004, which qualifies them for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
